Univision Communications, Inc Hiring for SVP, International Content Licensing at Miami Full Time

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

Global Platform Strategy & Revenue at TelevisaUnivision is looking for a SVP, International Content Licensing to join our team!

This role is responsible for overseeing the development and production of ViX original content. Develop, negotiate, and implement all co-productions, pre-buys, and original deals for Vix. Define the content distribution strategy and the commercial management of international accounts, including the evaluation of licensee base and ensuring effective and focused business management and strategic planning to support growth. Responsible for identifying, pitching, and securing new licensees that enhance product growth in a substantial manner. Define the traditional content strategy for the company, selecting film projects, television series, and other scripted programming that will be produced with international partners for the ViX platform. Negotiate co-production deals for ViX. Work with production teams, including co-producers, in all significant creative matters including the selection of screenplays and the selection of talent, both in front and behind the screen.

Relationship management is key to success in this role; you will be required to actively manage and cultivate the engagement, partnership, and joint business planning with each account, new and existing, in order to negotiate international contracts and ultimately drive and deliver strategic growth in licensing sales on behalf of the business.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Develop, negotiate, and implement all co-productions, pre-buys, and original deals

• Coordinate with the Global Distribution Team to define the sales strategy

• Select film projects and supervise the integral production and development of business plans

• Lead the team to execute on budget and revenue objectives

• Actively manage and cultivate the relationship engagement, partnership and joint business planning with each account, new and existing

YOU HAVE:

• Minimum of 12-15 years’ experience in the entertainment content business

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field

• Proven experience of building effective relationships, leading and managing change and collaboration across departments to achieve financial targets and joint goals

• Proven experience of developing the performance of a team

• Commercial and/or business development skills with the ability to influence and achieve buy-in

• Financial acumen – an ability to translate numbers into a working plan

• Ability to analyze data, construct practical conclusions and implement recommendations to achieve business targets
