Compensation: $34-$38 per hour

Description And Duties

Providing care for an alert, oriented, kind, energetic, and fun female quadriplegic with limited use of her upper extremities. She requires a skilled nurse for medication administration, urostomy straight catheter and stoma care, and bowel program. She transfers from her bed to a chair via the Hoyer lift. You will be required to prepare meals, cut food, and her personal care, ROM wound care. There is a handicap-equipped van for transporting to outings, all appointments, shopping, and events. You will assist with the restocking of medical supplies, creating grocery lists, and cutting coupons PRN. Housekeeping duties will include dusting, doing dishes, vacuuming, mopping, and doing laundry. She has a puppy, so you must be a dog lover and assist with feeding and walking. Most of all, become a friend! She has had many long-term nurses. The position became open due to a nurse developing pet allergies.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year nursing experience
• Must have reliable transportation & ability to commute
• Valid Florida Drivers License
• Automobile Insurance
• Social Security Card or Resident Alien Card
• Current CPR card
• Must complete and pass Level II background check
• Valid professional license – RN/LPN required
• BLS certification required
• CEU’s required by the state of Florida
• Two professional references
