UP Education Looking for Delivery Program Manager at Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

As the Delivery Program Manager, you will be accountable for the successful execution of strategic programs, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and deliver measurable value across multiple projects or workstreams.

As a key member of the Technology team, this role requires strong strategic oversight, cross-functional coordination, and effective governance to manage interdependencies, mitigate risks, and maintain delivery performance at scale.

Key Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To

Program Management –

• Define program objectives, scope, success metrics, and roadmap in alignment with strategic business goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic objectives.

Change Management –

• Govern change management by assessing business impacts and maintaining delivery momentum amid shifting priorities.
• Create and execute change management plans, including communication strategies, training programs, stakeholder engagement, and user adoption initiatives.
• Monitor the effectiveness of change management efforts and adjust strategies as needed to address resistance and improve outcomes.

Risk Management –

• Identify and manage program-level risks, dependencies, and issues with clear mitigation and escalation paths.
• Leverage delivery plans and Jira reporting to anticipate and address bottlenecks before they impact outcomes.
• Proactively manage issues as they arise, ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact on program timelines and business operations.

Stakeholder & Communication Management –

• Act as the single point of contact for program status, risks, and decisions, delivering concise and data-driven updates to executives and sponsors.
• Ensure stakeholders are consistently engaged, informed, and aligned through structured updates, steering committee meetings, and governance routines.
• Maintain strong engagement across technical and business teams to ensure alignment and accountability.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of leadership, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement, with practical experience using tools like Jira for planning, tracking, and reporting.

Required Skills And Experience

• 5+ years of experience in program management and project management roles, ideally within large, complex organizations.
• Strong experience with systems integration, data migration, system replacement, and other related tech projects/programmes.
• Proven track record of delivering cross-functional programs and managing organizational change in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
• Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, CSM, PRINCE2 or SAFe Agilist are desirable.
• Availability to travel: This role may require some travel to Australia on occasion based on project requirements.
