UPMC Health Plan is hiring a Full-Time Inside Sales Center Rep. This is a Monday through Friday position and will be based out of downtown Pittsburgh.
The Inside Sales Center Rep will manage membership growth and retention throughout the service area via telephone sales. You will support the department’s sales processes including answering inquiries from prospective UPMC for members, employers and/or individuals and assisting with enrollment.
In addition, you will manage a book of business to ensure that all leads are followed up for sales attempts and tracked properly in a timely manner.
Due to COVID-19 circumstances, this position will temporarily work remotely. This role is eligible for long-term partial work from home privileges, after successful completion of orientation and training (privilege eligibility is subject to continued achievement of business goals and on-site department needs).
Responsibilities:
Maintain a prospective individual sales book of business.
Conduct outbound service calls in accordance with departmental initiatives.
Have an active role in delivering and reinforcing key communications and priorities.
Provide reports as required by the sales department weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Meet or exceed individual sales and service goals.
Proficiency in UPMC Health Plan’s products, sales tools, guidelines, and processes.
Develop and maintain credibility in the marketplace.
Gain and log competitive information in the appropriate fashion and location.
Support the department’s sales process.
Assist team in increasing overall market share for by region and county.
Document inquiries in accordance with sales department guidelines.
Answer incoming inquiries from prospective members.
Present UPMC Health Plan products to prospective clients telephonically and in face-to-face encounters as needed.
Qualifications
B.A. degree or equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic that will help position teams’ success.
Exhibit the willingness to become successful in over the phone selling to a specific market or customer base
Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain credibility in the marketplace.
Establish interdepartmental relationships. Ability to multi-task and work within a team environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Ability to work with and take direction from management.
Desire to continue upward progression within organization.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
PA Health and Accident License required within 90 days of hire.
