Position Snapshot
Technical Services Specialist at US Ecology provide high-level technical
support to sales, operations, and customers. Supports the development of
bid materials by working with sales managers. Works with multiple
departments to determine proper, safe and legal treatment of hazardous
waste.
Day in the Life
After grabbing your favorite morning beverage, you begin your day by
booting up your computer and:
Responding to inquiries regarding company’s waste treatment and
disposal services
Assisting in the collection, classification, and analysis of historical
data
Communicating and answering questions related to waste acceptance
capabilities, disposal options, and range of pricing
Working closely with sales team to identify and propose integrated
customer solutions compliant with appropriate local, state and federal
regulations
Assist new customers with the onboarding process including; account set
up, waste profiling, pricing, and optimizing service levels.
Coordinating communications to respond to customers’ inquiries
Working with the corporate marketing team to provide marketing support
for sales efforts
Working closely with sales team to identify new opportunities and retain
existing business
Developing and maintaining customer pricing files
Assisting customers with testing parameters and proper completion of
profiles, manifests and forms
Assisting and advising customers in evaluating chemical analysis to
determine disposal options
Performing project work including, but not limited to: logistics,
billing, and systems implementation
What you need to apply
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field; or an
equivalent combination of education and experience in waste disposal,
chemistry, or a related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of regulations specific to the environmental waste
industry
Experience managing hazardous waste, industrial wastes, and municipal
solid wastes preferred.
Familiarity with DOT and RCRA regulations
Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
