Position Snapshot
The Transportation Coordinator works under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor and is responsible for preparing all transportation related paperwork for our drivers, assisting with scheduling customer pick-ups and deliveries into the end disposal facility, and reconciling completed paperwork as it is returned by drivers.
Day in the Life
After booting up your computer and grabbing your favorite morning beverage, you can expect to:
Follow up on outstanding tasks, emails and requests
Schedule waste pickups from customers, including drums, tank trailers, and roll-off trailers
Ensure appointments into the end facility are scheduled and communicated to drivers
Provide assistance and direction to drivers to ensure that personnel arrive at customer sites on time and properly equipped
Prepare manifests, bill of ladings, and container labels
Reconcile data within US Ecology internal software
Photocopy and maintain records of all shipping papers
What you need to apply
Minimum of 2 year’s transportation experience preferred
High school diploma or GED
Knowledge of MTO and DOT regulations are preferred
Strong communication & time management skills
Knowledge of the MS Office Suite with proficiency using Excel required
