The work schedule for this position is: Intermittent (Irregular)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (three weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
The incumbent will be part of a pool of WAE Administrative Assistants who based on their availability; background and qualifications will perform a variety of tasks on an as-needed basis for any State section, i.e. Management, CLO, Consular, Public Affairs, Executive, Political, Economic and Security, or other agency offices, as assigned by the Management Officer. Acts as the official escort personnel without clearances into secure areas. The incumbent is available to perform duties requiring a Secret level clearance.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in administrative and/or program work is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have a thorough knowledge of all Consulate sections. Good knowledge of office procedures and related business protocol. Working familiarity with FAM, FAH, and Mission policies.
Completion of at least two years of college or university studies is required.
LANGUAGE: Fluent (level IV) speaking/writing/reading in English is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Good typing skills are required. Must have good spoken and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to perform duties with tact and discretion. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
