USA Compression Hiring for QC Specialist at Longview, TX Full Time

Key Business Objectives:

The QC Specialist is responsible for all build out aspects of third party units and components. Responsibilities include scheduling, inspection and quality control of unit make ready, engine and compressor frame reconditioning to USA Compression standards at third party vendor facilities. All USA Compression employees are responsible for maintaining a safe and professional work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proof read drawings, red line and return to engineering for changes.
• Inspect units of third party vendors during all phase of build out.
• Attend all unit test runs for third party vendors to ensure unit meets all guidelines.
• Complete all necessary paperwork for unit
• Follow and observe all safety and environmental policies
• Any and all other job duties as assigned

Skills/Capabilities and Education:

• Minimum of 5 years of compression experience
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills at the field level to both customers and employees.
• Operate independently with little or no supervision.
• Strong communication skills
• High degree of mechanical ability
• Maintain high level of attention to detail
• Read and understand blue prints/drawings
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Internet and inventory tracking software.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communication from the company and supervisor including training, procedures, instructions, etc.
• Full-time exempt level position

Working Conditions:

• Travel is required and is expected to be approximately 25%-50% of the time worked.
• Periodic lifting requirements in excess of 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk on uneven and varied terrain, climb ladders and stairs, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch and crawl depending on the task requirements
• Exposure to extremes in temperature and weather conditions depending upon assigned location
• Exposure to high noise levels (in excess of 85dBA), as well as exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals and materials
• The position requires ability to read and interpret data as well as having the capacity to professionally and effectively communicate (verbally and written) with both company and outside personnel.
