The Purchasing Manager is responsible for handling all material and service procurement activities. This includes developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and subcontractors and overseeing daily purchasing activities.

• Define purchasing strategies that ensure quality products and services are available when needed within estimated costs. Manage metrics for continuous improvement.
• Work with estimating and engineering team to improve processes and improve material and service costs.
• Establish lean delivery practices for materials to reduce inventory levels and reduce non-value-added activities related to inventory movement and management.
• Lead the process of sourcing and purchasing of material and services.
• Negotiate pricing, timing, and supply agreements with Suppliers and Subcontractors using creativity and expertise to look for win-win solutions.
• Proactively resolve corrective actions, non-performing products and deviations.
• Meet or succeed on-time delivery by managing and prioritizing capacity. Continually strive to reduce lead time.
• Oversee approval process of new suppliers and recertification of existing suppliers who meet our standards
