Do you have a passion for baseball? Enjoy working with young children?We are seeking to hire and train part time T-Ball coaches to teach beginner T-Ball for our fall programs throughout Monmouth County. Programs run on Sunday mornings from 8:30am – 12:30pm in Oceanport through the fall. We also have Preschool Track & Field classes that run on Sunday mornings as well from 8:30am – 12:30pm for those who are interested in coaching more than just T-Ball. Fall classes run on a weekly basis, starting on September 18th and ending November 6th. Candidates must be able to commit to classes for the entirety of the season. This is an opportunity to not only inspire the next generation of sports enthusiasts but to also develop yourself as a coach, and an educator.As a T-Ball coach, you will be responsible for working with young children, ages 3 to 8 years old, Sports Squirts (ages 3 to 5), or Senior Sports Squirts (ages 5 to 8). It is preferred that candidates have experience of working with children and a background in playing or coaching.Once we have reviewed your application, you will be invited to a Covid Free Introductory Zoom Presentation, where you can learn more about USA Sport Group and the coaching opportunities available, from the comfort of your own home!Following the zoom, all candidates will be required to attend a practical in person event on August 24th from 5:30pm – 7:30 pm in Mountainside, New Jersey, to gain approval to coach with us. Successful hires at these events will then attend PAID training, receive full uniform, equipment and curriculum needed.The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Previous coaching or teaching experience (not mandatory but preferred)

• A fun and bubbly personality to engage children

• Desire to learn and to improve as a coach

• Passion for working with infants and young children

• Enthusiastic about baseball and teaching basic skills to beginners

• Ability to relate and communicate with children, parents, and co-workers

• Excellent organization and time management skills

Experience:

• working with children or coaching: 1 year (Preferred)
