Role: Cloud Paltform Developer (Python AND AWS)

Location: Remote

Duration: 08 to 09 Month

Job Description:

Client is seeking a Python Engineer as a team member on an Agile team that develops and supports an internal cloud-based platform. The team supports both back-end services in Python as well as front-end UI in JavaScript/TypeScript. You will be part of Agile technology team in a global organization comprising of DEV/QA/PO teams. The candidate must be a delivery-focused person with an agile development mindset.

Client DJI is the world’s leading resource for benchmarks and investable indices. As a developer in this role, you will contribute to building a system used for balancing the global financial market indices.

Requirements:

• 7 years of software engineering, including strong Python skills, using object-oriented design. Must have recent Python experience on latest versions 3.9 .

• Cloud services development experience using AWS services including ECS/Docker, S3 and message queues (MQ).

• NoSQL database experience, including DynamoDB, DocumentDB or MongoDB.

• Strong experience creating RESTful web APIs using open-source frameworks.

• 1-2 years UI development experience using on JavaScript/TypeScript on major frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.

• Works well in a collaborative team of 5 – 8 engineers and contributes to Agile ceremony meetings.

• Maintains a high standard of code style, performance, testability, etc.

• Strong unit testing, logging and benchmarking experience required.

• Experience with working within a CI/CD pipeline scan/test/build/deploy processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Quantitative Finance is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience.
