Position Overview

The Vice President of Lean will lead accelerated operating performance through a comprehensive Lean transformation strategy, reporting directly to the company’s President. This executive team role emphasizes leadership, continuous improvement, and peer-led initiatives to build sustainable capabilities across the organization. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of excellence in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a Lean transformation strategy aligned with company vision and goals
• Build and mentor a high-performing Lean Transformation team
• Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement through cross-functional collaboration
• Implement Lean methodologies (Strategy Deployment, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Standard Work, FMEA, Problem Solving, Kanban, Visual Daily Management, 80/20)
• Train and educate employees at all levels on Lean principles and tools
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings
• Lead projects to redesign and streamline workflows
• Establish systems for monitoring and reporting Lean initiative progress and impact
• Regularly review and adjust strategies based on performance data
• Prioritize initiatives based on strategic objectives and ROI potential

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; Advanced Degree with a technical or operational focus preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in Engineering, Supply Chain, Change Management, and Finance
• 10+ years of management and leadership experience, including 2+ years in a senior Lean transformation role
• Proven expertise in deploying Lean tools (Strategy Deployment, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, etc.)
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience presenting to/influencing senior leaders
• Experience in a matrix organization and partnering at all levels
