Duties and Responsibilities

Cash receipt entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliations

Contract set up in dedicated Contract management software

Satisfying customer service queries. Internal department queries and problem solving

accounting for real estate developments, complex financial instruments, financial analysis of said investments and developing their knowledge of Canadian tax

Account payment histories

Tax remittances

Compilation and distribution of daily management reports

Compliance reporting

Reconciling bank statements and general ledgers

Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential

Other accounting duties that management may require

Skills Knowledge & Experience

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Relevant university degree or college diploma combined with two years of work experience

Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, policies and procedures and budgeting methods

Detail orientated, with excellent organizational and follow up skills

Ability to produce and manage daily management reporting requirements

Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.

Strong oral and written communication skills

Energetic team player with ability to work independently

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Knowledge of Great Plains would be an asset
