VCA Oso Creek Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is seeking Experienced Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants to join our one-of-a-kind GP/Emergency Practice. We have full and part time positions open. There is a shift differential for working the Swing shift.
Our hospital has been serving the Coastal Bend community for over 30 years. We are AHAA accredited and believe in providing the best possible care to our patients. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
• Venipuncture
• catheter placement
• radiology
• anesthesia monitoring
• physical examinations and patient assessment
• surgical preparation and assisting
• dentistry
• laboratory work
• pharmacy
• patient recovery
• compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have documented previous experience
• Some surgery experience
• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
• Customer service skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excellent communications skills
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
• This an Evening Shift position
