As a UX Designer within the Venmo team, you will help to create meaningful and cohesive end-to-end experiences for Venmo. You will work alongside your cross-functional team members and fellow designers to influence decisions and ultimately deliver the best possible mobile payments experience for our customers.

At PayPal, UX Designers influence teams to make customer-centric decisions across the product development lifecycle. This includes drawing on data and research to inform design concepts and decision making. We start with asking the right questions and end with optimized, best-in-class deliverables. Our designers are great storytellers, active listeners, technology enthusiasts and experts of their craft.

Your day to day:

• Work with cross-functional team members in the execution and delivery of Venmo and PayPal’s products and services, using a customer-focused, iterative design process.
• Create high-quality deliverables on a work stream with some oversight and guidance from a senior designer, within timelines and project requirements.
• Leverages and fosters the use of established UX techniques, templates, presentations, and assets in the creation of UX analysis, solutions, and materials.
• Own iOS and Android design features and projects from idea to launch and then through subsequent iteration with minimal guidance.
• Create interactive prototypes, templates, and contribute to our global design system.

What do you need to bring:

• BA/BS + 2 yrs or Masters + 1 yr of experience and a background in the study of user experience, design, research or related fields.
• Experience across products and platforms, mobile apps, financial services expertise an advantage.
• Familiarity and experience with standard design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Miro, Sketch, Invision.
• Experience concepting and designing digital interactive for native mobile applications and mobile first web.
• Familiarity and experience with standard design, interaction prototyping and user research tools, such as Figma, Adobe CS, Miro, Validately or Usertesting.com.
• Experience using and contributing to internal design systems.
• Understanding of latest industry trends and digital payments landscape is a plus.
