Overview of Job Function
Verint’s Senior Director, DevOps & SREfocuses on Availability, Scalability and Reliability of our cloud infrastructure and our CI/CD platform. This highly technical role requiresextensive CI/CD experience as well as experience implementing a SRE practice anddemonstrating high level design choices to enhance execution across cloud vendors. The director will interface with engineering teams, the global architecture group and operations to design and implement transformational DevOps practices.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
Manage service delivery, systems reliability and scalability of a multi-tenant platform in a multi SaaS based hybrid environment
Build, configure, and maintain the frameworks, tools, and systems that enable delivery and performance of business applications
Lead a shift/transformation to “everything as code”
Ensure broad engagement of Cloud Operations with many teams, implementing, evolving, and improving DevOps/DevSecOps/SRE practices, and developing a metrics-driven approach to ensure stability and security of enterprise cloud services
Play a strategic role in the design and build of state-of-the-art application/infrastructure systems with the high emphasis on security
Accountable for all aspects of code deployment in a CI/CD model and technical operations, which includes resource management (internal or Managed Service Provider), risk management, internal/external communications and status reporting to senior management
Build analytics tools that utilize engineering pipelines to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
Drive operational excellence in all facets of DevOps/SRE functions; track operational efficiency using relevant metrics
Presenting complex data and rationale in a way that is accessible to everyone
Guide the team to make sound operations decisions while improving stability, reliability and security
Work with stakeholders including the Management, Product and System teams, to assist with product related technical issues and support their infrastructure needs
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical area or relevant experience
12 years related work experience including specific work experience in the following areas:
7 yearscoaching managers and senior technical talent
7 years experience supporting infrastructure and services hosted in AWS or Azure
5 years experience delivering, deploying and managing enterprise applications in the cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
5 years experience implementing Telemetry and Observability Intelligence and Automated remediation
3 years establishing and maturing an SRE practice
3 years developing / executing on an Anti-Fragility strategy/practice
3 years developing continuous integration/delivery/deployment pipelines and cloud-centric CI/CD tools
Preferred Requirements
Previous success operating in a matrix environment
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
