About the Work
This is an exciting position for a talented the Lead Software Engineer with proven experience to join our ranks. The Lead Software Engineer are the conduit between the customer and our own engineering team – they connect the dots between the commercial, technical, and business requirements. They are in charge of:
- how the customer vision will be realised,
- what the best technical solution is – balancing cost / effort & time,
- what the best delivery approach is and how we would organise ourselves
- how we ensure we do, what we say we would and ultimately exceed our customer’s expectations.

About you

- Creating and sustaining high performing teams, including the direct people leadership, management, coaching, mentoring and supporting team members.
- Embedding Agile practices, grounded in pragmatism and true continuous improvement.
- Experience in successfully planning and delivering projects of varying complexity.
- The ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- The ability to achieve project delivery with a focus on time, cost and quality.
Do your business capabilities include?
- A natural ability to influence and present across business and technical teams – pulling together meaningful transformational outcomes.
- The resilience required to deal with influences and blockers that come from dealing with large enterprises.
- Commercial acumen for developing proposals, statements of work or similar.
- Experience in leading the development of solutions with a focus on business enablement and outcomes.
Do your Technical Capabilities include
- Demonstrated technical expertise in the end-to-end design and implementation of Internet scale web and mobile applications using cloud native services
- Demonstrated technical expertise of one or more of the following programming languages: Typescript/Javascript, Java, Python, GoLang, or .Net
- Solid understanding of modern software engineering techniques: microservice and event driven architectures, test driven development and continuous delivery
- Solid experience with AWS (AWS certification is highly desirable).
- A deep understanding of DevOps. Being able to talk from real-life experience about automation, pipelines and the culture shift required.
- An understanding of enterprise cloud best practices, including AWS Cloud Adoption Framework and AWS Well-Architected Framework
- An agile practitioner with the ability to work with modern collaboration tools (confluence, JIRA) and support new ways of working, thinking, and behaving
