We are seeking a Senior Engineer with AWS migration and storage expertise to join our Cloud Practice in Sydney. Our Senior Engineers take a role in producing the technical solutions that meet the transformational goals of the customer. This position is hands-on, working with internal or customer teams of engineers to contribute detailed design work and produce engineering artefacts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design solutions required to meet and exceed customer requirements and expectations
- Work directly with customer and Versent internal teams by leading the design and delivery of Cloud solutions.
- Provide domain expertise and technical leadership to other engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, training, and advice around best practices.
- Work within Agile scrum-based projects, take full ownership from genesis to completion, providing updates to Principal Consultant
- Actively participate in prioritising, planning, managing and executing work on the Cloud platform backlog
Experience:
- Retain a breadth of technology experience covering domains like public cloud, infrastructure, software engineering, security, operations, and DevOps.
- Proficient with AWS with a focus on storage (EBS/EFS/FSx,Storage Gateway etc).
- Migrating large-scale storage solutions (NetApp, Dell EMC, IBM etc).
