VesselsValue is looking for a passionate Product Manager, who is looking to make the shift to shipping products of a different nature, to join our dynamic Development team, based in Stoke-on-Trent.

Our clients include the World’s leading banks, funds, shipowners, regulatory bodies and more. We provide unbiased shipping data quickly and easily with our own proprietary database and algorithmic models.

We employ over 160 people in our 4 commercial offices in London, Singapore, Seoul, Shanghai and in our 3 R&D offices Stoke, Manila, IOW. We are rapidly growing.

Overview

We are looking for someone who has transferable product management skills and adapt them to shipping the VesselsValue products.

Skills and Experience Required:

· 2+ years’ project management experience in software development.

· Managing projects using agile methodologies

· Using abstract data driven metrics to determine design decisions

· Superb in-person and remote communication skills

Advantageous skills:

· Atlassian suite of products (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)

· Multiple completed projects, with a particular emphasis on live service products

· Strong data interpretation skills with a logical mindset

· Familiarity working closely with commercial teams to design products

· Specifying logical algorithms and software processes

· Experience with development of web applications

· Practical experience with QA testing of software

· Following code written in PHP or Javascript

· SQL database structure and query language (in particular MySQL)

· Practical experience with QA testing of software

Location

We are looking for someone who lives within a commutable distance to our Stoke office. Remote working will be considered, however regular face to face meetings and travel to our other UK offices are necessary (when permitted under latest UK guidelines).
