Description
Vestis is seeking a Senior Unified Communications Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure Organization. This resource will be a senior member of our team that manages communication operations across 400 remote sites and several data center locations. Responsible for voice and video architecture, design, and integrations. Works closely with Vestis Field Operations, Network and Application support teams to deliver appropriate services and solutions. This role reports to the Manager of Telecom.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
–Planning engineering strategies for the company through research and design to modernize legacy services and improve user experience.
–Providing guidance and support to other engineers
–Run large scale engineering projects.
–Mentoring of existing team members to expand teams’ knowledge on SBCs, CCaaS and UCaaS
–Responsible for installation, update, maintenance and security of legacy on-premise telecom platforms such as overhead paging, eFax, Cisco CUCM & Unity platforms.
–Involved in evaluation and selection of new voice & video infrastructure technology.
–Lead & oversee the implementation of newly deployed and purchased collaboration solutions.
–Ensure maximum availability of services to users and production applications.
–Provides support for complex problems related to network and business critical applications.
–Works closely with leaders of Market Centers teams to support Vestis communication capabilities and functions.
–Accountable for operational excellence, ensuring all systems are reliable, accessible, secure and meet established SLA’s / OLA’s for both internal and external customers
–Supporting the goals of the company’s technological alignment efforts
–Seeking out and implementing continuous process improvement opportunities
–Supporting internal communications related to business improvements and processes, system upgrades, and enhancements.
–Follow ITIL leading practices and adhere to Change and Incident management framework
–Submit all time and expense reporting procedures accurately and timely
–Maintain good standing and completion on all compliance related matters (i.e., assigned mandatory trainings, actions required from audits, corporate policies, etc.)
–Perform all additional duties and responsibilities based on the direction and guidance of supervisor.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
–Expert knowledge in Administration of Cisco CUCM, Microsoft Teams, Genesys Cloud, and Zoom
–Hands-on in-depth experience with Audio Codes SBCs and SIP
–Skilled and proficient in MS Office O365 suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Communications Tools, etc.)
–Ability to operate with a customer-centric service approach.
–Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
–Professional level verbal and written communication skills
–Demonstrated attention to detail and quality of work products and communications.
–Willingness to seek out and implement coaching, suggestions, and guidance from others.
Working Environment/Safety Requirements:
–Ensure necessary working environment and capabilities to effectively carry out responsibilities if working from a non-Vestis location (remote work)
–Ability and willingness to handle work related issues during all hours of the day, every day of the week, understanding the responsibility of our organization’s requirement for 24/7 production support
–Ability, willingness, and flexibility to travel as needed for approved work purposes in accordance with project and management schedules
Experience/Qualifications:
–10+ years’ experience in Telecom, Contact Center, Unified Communications administration in an enterprise environment with over 10,000 users preferably in a publicly traded organization.
–Experience with the use of Project Management methodologies and tools
–Bachelor and/or master’s degree preferred but not required
–Be legally able to work in the United States: U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident
License Requirements/Certifications:
–Valid U.S. drivers license (for rental cars when applicable)
Benefits: Vestis offers a wide array of comprehensive benefit programs and services, including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and paid parental leave. Employees are able to enroll in the company’s 401k plan. Employees are eligible for 120 hours of vacation, 16 hours of floating holidays, and paid sick time every year. Employees will also receive 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
Compensation: The salary rate for this position ranges from $95,000 to $110,000, depending on circumstances, including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
