They will also meet the following qualifications and possess these preferred skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field; bachelor’s degree in education also to be considered;
• Minimum two years of work experience in (a) similar, relevant role(s);
• Proven capability in supporting the design and execution of best practices that produce measurable results (as demonstrated through provided sample project work or results reports);
• Highly effective oral and written communication to engage varied shared interest groups;
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness to support staff performance and retention;
• Ability to steward a compelling vision for the organization that yields measurable success in recruiting mission-aligned students and families as well as high-performing, diverse, and highly satisfied faculty and staff talent;
• Experience with (or knowledge of) hiring platform Hirebridge or a similar talent management support software;
• Experience with (or knowledge of) basic photography and video production and editing principles;
• Experience with (or exposure to) content creation platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Microsoft Office;
• Experience with (or knowledge of) the WordPress platform or similar CMS;
• Experience with (or exposure to) social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

What This Role Will Accomplish

The Human Resources Director will support the activity of the VCP executive leadership team in a role that blends strategic planning and tactical implementation to achieve objectives in talent management, recruitment, and retention.

The role will report to the VCP Chief Operating Officer and secondarily support leadership in VCP academic departments and the operations department.

Specific Role Responsibilities Will Include

Talent Recruitment

• Create and implement communication tools and templates for talent recruitment and cultivation that drive the matriculation of highly qualified job applicants;
• Assist with the creation of compensation policies and guidelines;
• Create new or revise existing job descriptions;
• Manage the marketing and logistics of our job description postings using designated platforms;
• Coordinate internal and external hiring events;
• Support the management of relationships with local and national partner organizations for talent pipelines (TFA, ITF, RELAY, local colleges and universities);
• Collaborate with school leaders to develop and refine talent management pipelines and structures;
• Execute screening interviews and other necessary meetings with job applicants that lead to more efficient near-term new hiring and improved long-term staff retention;
• Coordinate a job candidate’s smooth transition from the applicant screening process to the candidate interview process as managed by the appropriate academic leadership team;
• Support the new hire onboarding process as necessary.

Talent Retention

• Coordination of and administrative support for employee licensing and credentialing requirements and related processes;
• Management of internal VCP professional development initiative, including the new employee mentor program and VCP Trailblazers leadership development program;
• Management of network team-building cultural events and administrative oversight of available budget and resources;

Human Resources Support

• Management of the employee benefits portfolio and coordination of related vendor relationships;
• Management of the employee supplemental benefits portfolio, coordination of related vendor relationships, and tracking of benefits utilization;
