Key Responsibilities:
The Sportsplex facility is currently seeking responsbile, enthusiastic, education-minded individuals with a passion for children to staff the Kidz Room and provide childcare services in a safe, caring, fun, and nurturing enviornment for children 6 months to 10 years of age allowing members to enjoy their workout at the Fitness Center.
The Kidz Room Attendant will lead and supervise playroom themes, games and activities whil enforcing playroom policies and maintaining a high level of safety and cleanliness. This position will manage the Kidz Room entry and exit procedures to ensure the highest level of safety of children entrusted to care by our members.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills:
Coursework and/or training in early childhood development or education is preferred. Prior related experience with childcare is required along with knowledge and competency in the area of childcare. Prior customer service experience is preferred. Ability to multi-task and implement creative age appropriate themes, games and activities is needed. Must have a high level of patience and be able to work in a noisy environment.
Must be available during hours of operation Monday – Friday 8:00AM to 8:00PM and Saturday 8:00AM to 1:00PM. Weekday morning, afternoon and evening availability shifts 8:00am to 12:00pm and/or 12:00pm to 4:00pm and/or 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Must also be available for rotational Saturday shift 7:45am to 1pm. Immediate need for 1-2 weekday evening shifts and rotational weekend shift, approximately 10 hours per week. Daytime availability is also preferred for fill in as needed.
