Summary
VillageReach is a complex global non-profit organization that is entering an exciting developmental phase to reach 100 million people in Africa by the end of FY2026. As our Compliance Manager – a new position at VillageReach – you will join the dynamic Enterprise Risk Management team in ensuring that our expanding reach, operations, and procedures comply with regulatory and funder requirements as well as internal policies. In this position, you will have a range of responsibilities, including evaluating all current and new compliance regulations, reviewing and strengthening company processes, and leading compliance-based training. This is an ideal opportunity for a lawyer with non-profit and global experience who is a creative problem solver, enjoys developing capacity in others, and is excited to help us increase access to quality health care for millions of people. This position can be remote from anywhere in the United States, slight preference for one of the following states where VillageReach is registered: WA, OR, CA, CO, TX, IL, KS, KY, MD NY, VA, or WA DC.

Insurance/risk management: Manage VillageReach insurance portfolio, and develop sound risk management strategies and processes.
Organizational Capacity Development: Provide effective training to employees and volunteers about legal and procedural requirements, including contracts, procurement, and organizational impacts of noncompliance.
Support preparation of responses to regulatory requests.
Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance.

VillageReach has no private offices, employees work in a shared, open environment with task and conference rooms accessible to employees for privacy and meetings. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Due to the time zone differences between our USA office and our Country Offices and location of other global staff, US based staff are expected to be available for early morning meetings starting at 6am. In addition, our Regional Africa based staff and Country office staff are expected to be available for late afternoon/evening meetings up to 6pm.
Approximately 90% of the workday is spent sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Compensation:
VillageReach has an established compensation structure that is based on the relevant market and internally transparent. The range for this position is $85,900 to $104,700. We hire people into the established range based on one’s experience and education and considering internal equity. We do not inquire about salary history.
