Virginia Tech Looking for Unit Support Staff – Arlington County at Northern, Auckland Full Time

Job Description

The Arlington County VCE Office is seeking a part-time wage (16-24 hours/week with no benefits) Office Assistant/Receptionist. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide reception support for Staff and Faculty in the Arlington office by greeting visitors, answering phones, scheduling meetings/meeting spaces, filing, maintaining orderly office supplies, and distributing mail. This position will be responsible for and support unit marketing efforts, to include but not limited to website maintenance and social media support for all program areas. This position will also provide assistance to the Administrative & Technical Associate with general office duties.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated administrative experience. Must communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Superior customer service attitude and professional demeanor. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work in a fast paced, environment with a high degree of efficiency. Must be detail oriented and highly organized.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of university and state policies and procedures.
