Job Description

The Information Technology Specialist directly supports the configuration, maintenance, development, repair, and end-user support of all systems related VTA. The individual will serve as a key contributor for all Tier 1/Tier 2 help desk tickets. The individual must be self-motivated, a self-starter, able to work independently, and excited about the opportunity to learn multi-faceted IT functions within a growing, fast-paced organization.

Responsibilities

Overall duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, phone systems, and a virtual server environment

• Support desktop and helpdesk efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions

• Install and upgrade desktop, laptop and peripheral computer system components and software.

• Resolve Help Desk tickets with all notes, categories, assignments, knowledge base information, and resolution actions recorded in the ticket

• Provision, image, update and prepare computers for deployment to employees

• Create and maintain system and procedural documentation for system/network configurations, IT processes, runbooks, and standard operating procedures

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues by applying diagnostic skills, documenting problems and resolutions

Participate in rotational after hours/on-call support for retail stores, supporting all technology within the store as required. Responsible for resolution and all required follow-up activities.

Education & Skills

Required

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent industry experience required

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with troubleshooting and restoring service to point of sale systems hardware, software, and applications

• 1-2 years troubleshooting and resolving 1st and 2nd Tier desktop, laptop, and IoT computer systems

• 1-2 years of network and system administration experience

• Some knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
