As Senior Product Manager, Virtual Account and Payment Controls APIs, you will be part of the Visa Business Data Solutions which is part of the broader Global Card Products and Platforms team which is responsible for all cardable solutions for businesses and public entities globally, providing payment and value added services to businesses, corporations and governments. In this role, you will be responsible for managing APIs for two products – Virtual Account Payment Method and Visa Payment Controls. This includes contributing to the overall API strategy, managing the APIs from a product perspective, serving as the subject matter expert and communicating the value to internal and external stakeholders. The role requires collaborative and technical product skills as it includes working with various internal teams on technical product offerings. Because you will work with issuers and FinTech’s, you must have a professional, be able to clearly communicate client impacts, and manage escalations. Due to the consultative tasks, you must have analytical and problem-solving skills in order to assess each situation and provide optimal guidance to clients. The role is also an integral part of other product development projects in flight and includes input into potential partnerships and opportunities. Responsibilities – * Understands and maintains a deep understanding of both APIs and the commercial card landscape * Responsible for Go To Market and other product documentation to support API collateral, marketing material, implementation guides, Visa Developer Portal content, etc. * Work with the regional product teams to understand individual market needs and challenges in order to prioritize API enhancements on the roadmap * Enhance Visa Developer Portal to provide product and technical materials to business’ product owners and developers to provide overview of the products, the value the APIs add, and what they need to get onboarded onto the APIs. * Work with the product owners during development to ensure enhancements are developed to meet business needs * Collaborate with the product owners and technical resources, as needed, to ensure teams understand the details and that the product enhancements are implemented successfully and on time. * Provide subject matter expertise to internal teams about APIs benefits and usage for their client-specific use cases. * Meet with external partners – issuers and FinTech’s – to understand their business/ use case and incorporate and help them identify which APIs to use based on their use case. Subject matter support during implementations * Contributes to short term and long term strategy for our the Virtual Account and Payment Controls APIs as part of the overall API ecosystem strategy and considering priorities, market needs and competitive landscape. * Work with marketing, sales, partnerships, implementation, and support teams to help them collaborate with financial institutions and corporate clients regarding API solutions * Support the pilot process when rolling out a new product, feature or offering. Work with pilot client, issuer and internal teams to run a thorough pilot and assess production readiness * Implement pricing for any new products, features or offerings. Develop pricing models and work with internal teams and regional teams to assess impact to individual markets and finalize product pricing. Flex Work Arrangement – Hybrid Position – This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs. Basic Qualifications * 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience * with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications * 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 +years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD * Must have Product management experience in agile methodology, which includes creating user stories and epics, managing a backlog and a product roadmap * Must have knowledge of APIs, and experience building, integrating, implementing and/ or managing APIs as a product. * Must have experience working and presenting to client, such as issuer and fintechs in a consultative nature. * The role requires strong leadership, interpersonal, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others in cross-functional teams to implement and assess the operational impact of changes to processes/procedures. * Must have experience in presenting and communicating complex/detailed topics to clients. * Demonstrated expertise/power user in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word) and experience with MS Office Access. * Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details * Excellent business ethics is required, the successful candidate will have experience, and demonstrated success in the above listed core competencies. * Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented.
