Visiting Nurse Services Westchester Hiring for Office Assistant Job at White Plains, NY Full Time

Purpose of Position:

Provide general office support for VNSW at Home and the Community Care Navigation Department. Responsible for all office medical records, storage, clerical and administrative support.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide office support to the VNSW at Home and Community Care Navigation Programs.

2. Download reports and distribute to appropriate parties

3. Responsible for office medical records, correspondence and vendor contracts

4. Orders and maintains inventory of agency office supplies

5. Stamp, mailing and distributing of agency correspondence

6. E-Fax, track and monitor physician orders in a timely manner

7. E-Fax authorizations to MLTC programs and follow up on their status

8. Track compliance items for HHAs such as Annual In-Service and Competencies. Work with HR Department in meeting other compliance requirements

9. Other duties assigned by the Administrator/Director

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent

2. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

3. Experience in general office procedures

4. Ability to work independently

5. Good organizational skills

6. Good telephone skills

7. Ability to multi-task

8. Ability to research information via the Internet

9. Proficiently operates all office equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
