Ko tō tūranga – your role

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for financial reporting, forecasts and actionable insights in Consumer and SME for the Fixed portfolio. This includes variance analysis and forecasting/budgeting. Provide financial support to P&L owners/heads of on their financial performance and on business cases to enable them to manage and make key decisions on the operations of the Business Unit. Provide commercial Finance support to Finance Manager as required.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

• Finance ownership of assigned portfolio, including monthly results, forecasts, analysis and actionable insight.
• Track portfolio performance on a weekly basis and provide actionable insight to help ensure month-end targets are met.
• Provide actionable insight into the drivers of portfolio performance through accurate reporting and analysis to enable the leadership team to make informed decisions.
• Produce robust forecasts/budgets, working with budget holders, challenging and questioning underlying assumptions. Incorporate upcoming commercial initiatives into forecast.
• Support budget holders to take accountability of delivering their targets through financial support and sound relationship building.
• Provide business insight into the drivers of Consumer & SME performance as requested.
• Proactively look for and implement process improvement and synergies

• Previous relevant experience working in large organisations
• Financial analysis experience, including planning and reporting.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Proven commercial acumen
• Strong Excel modelling skills essential.
• Studying towards, or completed CA/CIMA or equivalent
