Ko tō tūranga – Your role

The SOC – Service Operations Engineer role sits within our Wholesale & Infrastructure function and plays a key role providing 24/7 alarm surveillance, Incident response and acts as a single-point-of-contact for the Vodafone, Enterprise and RCG Networks. This is a full-time permanent role reporting directly onto the Service Operations Manager.

Please note: There is one permanent role and two 12 month fixed term contract roles available.

Ko tō mahi – What you’ll do

Your role will have high visibility across our entire business units. You will engage with our customers and work with a wide range of internal and externals stakeholders, you will also:

• Actively work in the detection and response to Service Operations-managed alarms, working to defined procedures to meet KPIs.
• Manage and dispatch Service Operations owned Incidents, including notification of customer and service impact to the business
• Control access to Vodafone sites and equipment, in accordance with ITIL and H&S principles
• Manage inbound email and phone communications to the SOC as a single-point-of-contact for Vodafone Network and Enterprise Operations
• Execute reporting and audit and administrative procedures as directed
• Participate in a 24×7 rotating roster

Na tōu rourou – What will you bring?

Our ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills. You will be a logical thinker who is driven to help customers as the core of what you do. You will also bring:

• Good understanding of fixed, mobile and Enterprise customer telecommunications systems
• Demonstrable experience in an Event/Incident role (or comparable technical experience)
• Previous experience in a fast -paced environment (IT/Telco experience desirable)
• IT Tertiary and/or Industry Qualifications
• ITIL qualifications preferred
