Vulcan Looking for Payroll Assistant – Part time at East Tamaki, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

This position is fulltime and permanent, the successful candidate will be based from our Vulcan Support office in East Tamaki. This role is Part-time and is 8hours per day Monday and Tuesday each week.

Payroll Support which includes:

• Process through Affinity administration
• Inputting and maintaining employee information
• Keeping payroll processes up to date
• Assist with keeping consistent payroll records, including any changes to current team members information, including job title, remuneration, tax code, termination, leave, deductions etc
• Support with payroll-related activities for employee terminations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Support and execute pay review cycles for employees
• Support and process bonus payments as per company policies and guidelines

Payroll Reporting:

• Assist with IRD forms and filing
• Assist with making payroll reports on a regular basis to provide to the Payroll Lead
• Assist with regular payroll reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assist with month end payroll accruals including posting these to General Ledger

Payroll & HR Administration:

• Support with preparing and issuing of the offer letters and employment agreements, also pre employment pack IRD, KiwiSaver forms, Handbook etc
• Support new starters payroll onboarding process – password enquiries/assist with any issues
• Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including sending out employment agreements
• Following up on signed documentation and pre employment packs prior to new employee starting

Requirements

Key Skills & Attributes Required

• Minimum 5 years payroll experience
• 5 years customer service or HR administration experience
• Reliable and can work well in a diverse team
• Hard working, energetic in nature
• Strong initiative, can maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
• The ability to generate creative and constructive ideas to help achieve goals
• Accurate and strong attention to detail
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities efficiently
