Job Summary
Responsible for managing the design and development of the innovation projects in line with their strategic intent, including reporting to and interaction with WBA Senior management. Manages the day to day deliverables and timelines of the innovation projects. Conducts market analysis on projects to assess capabilities. Collaborates and leverages the full range of appropriate internal and external business and matrix partners to develop the design and development. Provides unbiased, analytical research and strategies to support the implementation of Corporate goals and provides growth opportunities and strategic business development. Applies standardized project management methodologies, including project definition, planning, risk management, project control and change management to ensure for a repeatable project delivery process.
Job Responsibilities

• Manages the design and development of the innovation projects in line with their strategic intent, including but not limited to strategic alignment, budget development, development deadlines, development/modification of detailed plans, communication of status, etc.
• Manages and fosters excellent collaborative relationships with client/partner companies and internal matrix/business partners (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Clinic teams, etc.) to develop the innovation and recommendation for next steps.
• Assesses and manages risk throughout all aspects of the innovation solution design and development and escalates as needed. Monitors progress, reports results/outcomes and makes adjustments as needed.
• Partner with legal and regulatory teams to ensure all approvals/regulations obligations during the design phase have been met.
• Conduct market and competitors analysis on priority innovations, as well as identification and reviews of potential partners for the HIP to deliver its priorities.
• Develops and manages the communication development and implementation plan.
• Monitors and manages innovation development goals, ensures planned development outcomes are achieved and adjusts innovations if necessary. Identifies opportunities to improve design implementation and quality.
• Develops and managers analytical methods, metrics and processes to quantify business drivers in order to identify opportunities to increase growth, market share and develop new markets and/or to quantify competitive threats and identify opportunities to increase market share.
• Collaborates with other departments and/or with executives to deliver comprehensive and compelling recommendations for strategic initiatives with a positive impact on market penetration and expansion OR to create and prioritize growth strategies, plans and goals.
• Oversees the research of new data sources and methods to further analyze attributes that help better serve the internal and external customer and to assess the competition. Acts as an unbiased expert to client groups exhibiting knowledge and understanding of corporate goals, market issues and their impact on Walgreens, knowledge and understanding of client’s perspective; understanding of healthcare initiatives and opportunities within the market and the expected impact.
• Manages and conducts unbiased analytical research and strategies to determine growth potential for new and existing Walgreens markets OR healthcare opportunities by means of market share penetration, competitive analysis, and geographic and demographic analyses. Manages the planning, scheduling, and evaluation of projects of the staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion of projects according to specifications.
• Monitors, tracks and reports on the status of projects against budget, timelines and scope to project teams and leadership. Evaluates and mitigates project risks.
• Collaborates with business unit leadership to establish project priorities and ensures initiatives align with business goals and objectives.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of experience in strategy, consulting, digital health, product development, and/or implementations with the product to be managed or High School Diploma/GED and at least 10 years of experience in strategy, consulting, digital health, product development, and/or implementations with the product to be managed.
• Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
• Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• Experience using analytical systems and methodology of research data, systems and techniques.
• Experience using interpersonal communication and presentation skills to present ideas effectively and strategically present ideas to senior level management and external stakeholders.
• Experience working with Competitive Intelligence.
• Experience managing a budget to plan.
• Experience with financial modeling, profitability analysis and/or auditing techniques.
• Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
• At least 2 years of experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Business, Project Management, or Healthcare related field. (IE-Pharmacy).
• Experience in digital health innovation and products and services planning and execution.
• Strategy or planning & transformation healthcare consulting experience in a consulting firm working with clients.
• Experience in product Innovation and products and services planning and execution.
• Project management experience, including milestone development, activity management, team/stakeholder collaboration, and technical, business, and financial due diligence.
