Behind the Magic: In coordination with their leader, the Communications Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining key communications vehicles and tactics that effectively engage and inspire internal and external audiences, including our Cast Members and Guests. As a member of the Communications team, you will help execute and maintain communications strategies and programs to inform and engage our Cast, showcasing Walt Disney World as a great place to work and play, while helping to shape the narrative around our
Responsibilities:
Support the execution of high-quality communication strategies through a variety of communication vehicles, including printed materials, e-newsletters, leader messages, operational updates, digital signage, internal and external websites, social media and more.
Maintain and publish content across key communications systems and programs, including company intranet HUB sites, virtual bulletin boards, template centers, file management systems, email distribution software and shared email boxes.
Oversee recurring production of internal communication tactics, such as pocket guides to provide operational updates and key information to Cast Members regularly. Duties include managing production schedules, curating content, integrating partners, designing layouts and maintaining vendor relationships.
Research, monitor and analyze internal and external coverage of current events and public opinion to help inform and shape communication strategies.
Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, helping with the delivery of comprehensive and creative communication strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
Proven work experience in a professional environment
Strong administrative skills
Well versed in grammar and punctuation
Proven writing and presentation skills
Must be able to remain calm under pressure
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities while maintaining professional poise
Proven ability to work well independently or in a group, is a self-starter
Proficiency in basic computer functions necessary to operate in a MAC/MS Office environment
Strong graphic design skills, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite
Ability and willingness to learn new software applications

Disney operational knowledge/experience
Experience with AP Style
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent experience
