Walt Disney World Resort Hiring for Ranch Hand- Full Time, Walt Disney World at Lake Buena Vista, FL Full Time

The Ranch Hand Cast Members at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch will manage the daily care of over 90 horses and ponies that live at the Walt Disney World® Resort. As a Ranch Hand Cast Member you will assist with pony rides, leading guest trail rides, driving single and multiple draft horses and pony teams. The daily care of the horses include feeding, grooming, washing, working, and cleaning the stables.

Ranch Hand Cast Members receive a starting rate of $16.30/hour.

Basic Qualifications :

• Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
• Minimum one (1) year horse experience to include riding, or driving single and multiple horse teams
• Minimum one (1) year of experience driving trucks and trailers to transport horses
• Minimum one (1) year experience working with horses safely and having initiative to handle unforeseen circumstances
• Repetitive heavy lifting of 50-70 pounds repeatedly, including over your head
• Experience saddling, harness horses and ponies
• Engage with Guest by address needs by answering questions, giving directions and other information
• Full availability for any shift, any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required.
• Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
