Position Title: Workplace Sr. AV Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide AV tier 3 technical with a goal of providing responsive and effective service, provide personalized assistance, resolving client needs for events; providing fast and accurate responses to client requests, ensuring high standards of customer service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Areas of work include, but not limited to:

• Oversee and ability to complete all phases of AV installations projects

• AV Rack assembly, equipment replacement and mounting

• Perform system cabling run and termination in accordance with system diagrams

• Provides tier 3 systems and customer support to AV Leads

• Must be able to provide AV design recommendations and ability to read schematic diagrams and building drawings

• Load Crestron and/or AMX control system code and firmware updates

• Audio DSP1- Demonstrates the ability to load DSP projects, implement, and configure primarily uses BIAMP

• Upgrade existing firmware of Cisco Telepresence Video Codecs wherever required

• Demonstrates a working knowledge of construction processes and ability to interface with different trades.

• Register video devices with TMS suite for scheduling activities and management

• Collaborate with AT&T and vendors to maintain the integrity and health of video and audio routing and management

• Work with vendors/partners to program and install Creston, Cisco and other endpoints audio-visual equipment

• Provide feedback to facilitate improvements to the installation process and tier progression of technicians

• Maintain and program Polycom video conferencing units

• Provide preventative maintenance guidelines and perform global system maintenance in collaboration with AV Leads and AT&T

• Manage new firmware release and updates

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair screening rooms hardware and audio/video routing

• Troubleshoot routing, writing & cabling issues

• Collaborate with IT teams on network related issues resulting in audio/video issues

• Support Videoconferencing and telepresence endpoints

• Identify and recommend opportunities to improve and enhance audio-visual and multimedia collaboration technologies

• Experience with live broadcast and production a plus

• Provide support for IPTV and DirectTV Set Top Boxes

• Knowledge on most endpoints while analyzing the interoperability for Polycom and or Cisco infrastructures

• Participate in root-cause analysis of technical issues to assist with the resolution of trouble tickets

• Provide technical assistance and training to all other AV Support Analysts

• Provide support and assistance to AV related projects

• Perform remote testing with colleagues in local and regional offices to ensure interop between sites/locations

QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in technology field or equivalent experience

• Knowledge in programming audio visual equipment such as: Crestron, Extron, Cisco/Polycom/Lifesize video conferencing equipment

• At least 3-5 years of operational role experience

• CTS certification a plus

Skills

• Self-starter with ability to follow through with minimal supervision

• Ability to adapt and learn new technologies as the industry grows

• Have a working knowledge of Fusion RoomView

• Knowledge of microphones, audio consoles, audio equalization, and audio attenuation

• Knowledge of cameras, video matrix switchers, different video formats and aspect ratios

• Familiarized with high-end screening room technologies and projectors

• Knowledge of Video Conference Systems and related video network bridging

• Effective time management skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Other

• Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional weekends and holidays

• Ability to lift to 50lbs

• Overnight stays for weathe
