About us and the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly regarded Flexible Learning Team and be part of Warwickshire’s SEND Change journey. We have several permanent full-time vacancies and one-year fixed term contracts, to work as Inclusion Mentors in both the north and south of the County.
We’re looking for motivated, resourceful and enthusiastic practitioners to work with pupils who are unable to attend school due to ill health which could be physical health or mental health. The team delivers Warwickshire County Council’s statutory response in meeting the diverse needs of children and young people across the County, who are unable to attend an educational setting for a short or protracted period of time due to their illness.
The successful candidates will be required to support pupils with their education and their return to school, delivering highly creative interventions, which engage learners and secure best outcomes. Although the majority of the work is delivered in homes and outside formal educational placements, a good understanding of school systems is important. The successful candidates will work alongside our team of subject specialist teachers, planning and delivering a core curriculum.
