Waste Connections of Canada, the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America, is looking for a full time Truck Washer/ Shop Labourer for our maintenance shop in Winnipeg, MB

Location: 375 Oak Point Highway, Winnipeg, MB R2R 1T9

Shift: Monday to Thursday – Four day work week!

Summary of Functions:

Safety is key in our business and the maintenance team plays a crucial role in maintaining both personal and vehicle safety. The Truck Wash person is an entry level position used primarily for performing preventative maintenance services on all equipment. Training for this individual will be provided along with establishing the company safety culture, housekeeping and team expectations.

Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to candidates with mechanical abilities
• Minimum class 5 license

Duties:

• Washing trucks in our wash bay facility
• Assisting mechanics with tasks as needed
• Picking up parts from suppliers
• Operating ride-on floor sweeper
• General shop housekeeping
