Associate Producer

General Job Description:

n

Weigel Productions is a collaborative production environment that seeks thoughtful, professional and hardworking individuals to join its creative team. The Associate Producer will work closely with producers and crew to assist in the creation of a national daily television program that features some of the most beloved cartoons of all time presented with original skits, interviews, quizzes and more. Also work on other original content across Weigel’s networks including :30 spots, :60 spots, half hour and hour long programming.

The ideal candidate must be intellectually curious, highly organized as well as a team player who is very detail oriented, strong multi-tasker.

n

Duties/Responsibilities:

n

Organizing scripts, graphics, props, makeup and all of production elements with the larger team.

n

Editorial research and fact checking.

n

Assisting with Final Delivery of Weigel Productions programming, including script review and captioning preparation.

n

Work with producers to find and organize video and music within Weigel Systems and Third-Party sources.

n

Make video suggestions for scripts and assist producers and editors.

n

Work with producer to coordinate logistics for studio and field productions.

n

Responsible for show transcriptions, as well as organizing and maintaining audio and video assets.

n

Work with rights and clearances and producer to ensure the best and latest video is acquired, used and credited properly.

Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

n

Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for job, if not currently employed by Weigel Broadcasting Co.

n

Candidate must have previous professional television experience.

n

Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of multiple elements of production will be preferred.

n

Proficiency in MS Office is a must.

n

iNews, GV Stratus and Adobe C-Suite experience a plus.
