With around 300 employees WEL Networks, owned by and working for the community, has been serving the Waikato for over 100 years, distributing power from the national grid, connecting over 160,000 people to electricity services.
Based in Hamilton, we play an essential role in the region’s economic and social development by identifying and investing in new technologies that will modernise our network and future-proof our region. About the role
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fleet Manager to come on board and head up WEL’s evolving fleet strategy.
Reporting to the Manager Sustainability & Business Improvement, and supported by a Fleet Coordinator, your focus will be on enhancing the company’s fleet strategy by bringing additional focus to sustainability; driver education and behaviour; and vehicle and crew safety, alongside the usual activities of vehicle delivery, maintenance and reporting on our fleet of well over 100 vehicles.
It will be very important that the person successful in this role really enjoys working alongside people at all levels of our organisation, modelling and driving behaviour that optimises good business outcomes.
