Wellington Water Looking for Pipelines Foreperson at Lower Hutt, Wellington Full Time

The opportunity

You will assist the team to ensure that the Wellington region’s Bulk Water network is meeting the needs of the region in an environmentally safe and hygienic manner.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• Maintain bulk water pipework systems so that they are reliable and do not inhibit production and delivery of water to reservoirs
• Maintain valves in serviceable condition
• Ensure bulk water pipework systems are secure and do not pose significant risk to water quality
• Develop and implement site-specific health, safety and environmental plans for the work to be undertaken

To do this you’ll bring:

• A National Certificate in Water Reticulation
• A Relevant trade qualification
• 5+ years experience with installation and repair of large diameter piping systems

The team consists of five Bulk Water Forepersons and two Fitter Welders
