Information & Cyber Security (ICS) is a part of Wells Fargo Technology. ICS is responsible for protecting the company from cyber threats, engaging with Wells Fargo businesses, assessing information security risk, providing identity services, performing security engineering, and operating the ICS function.

Cloud Security Technology Leader
The Cloud Security team is accountable for execution of the cloud security technology strategy in support of the company’s hosting strategy, which encompasses cloud and virtualization infrastructure services both on premises and external. The Principal Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for influencing and informing Technology’s hybrid cloud computing security strategy, security roadmap, prioritization, and delivery of security controls and services across our hosting environments, focusing on infrastructure and virtualization capabilities.
The Cloud Security Technology Strategy Leader will serve as a technical expert, innovator, and strategic thought leader for cloud security. They will demonstrate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions. The Cloud Security Technology Strategy Leader acts as an expert resource for architects in the development of target architectures, and maintains knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. They will establish standards and best practices and for engineering complex, largescale technology solutions to address highly complex and typically cross-organizational issues, while maintaining broad knowledge of other technology engineering disciplines and partnering with other key experts. Expected to maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommend innovations that enhance operations and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. They will provide expert counsel to senior technology leadership and advise and mentor others with the goal of knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a senior cloud security Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought leader for high visibility cloud computing initiatives and hybrid environments
Design, influence, and execute security transformation required for secure hybrid cloud adoption across the enterprise
Design, influence, and execute transformation of the ICS security program to be cloud-ready and cloud-enabled.
Evangelize opportunities, challenges, and security advantages of integrated cloud security services
Seek out new and emerging technologies and evaluate for inclusion in the Cloud Security strategy and roadmap of capabilities and solutions for hybrid and multi cloud
Leverage agility and scalability of DevSecOps and automated governance utilizing secure infrastructure as code principles
Proactively prioritize, analyze, and address complex problems and incidents to ensure the highest level of security
Architect, design, and implement security capabilities that align to the cloud security control frameworks and the target objectives of the cloud security strategy
Develop and maintain relationships with business and IT partners to assess, engineer and implement public and on premise cloud security controls and capabilities that balance business agility, operational maintainability, and risk reduction
Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively innovate and provide credible challenge
Required Qualifications
10+ years of technology experience
7+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
5+ years of experience with leadership in an enterprise technology environment
Desired Qualifications
Experience managing large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
Other Desired Qualifications
10+ years of security engineering or security architecture experience
5+ years of experience with one or more Cloud platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or VMware Tanzu App Service (TAS), OpenStack
5+ years of technology strategy development experience
3+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise-wide cloud platforms/environments
3+ years of experience in designing and engineering automated, cloud native security solutions
3+ years of experience securing virtualization products and hypervisor technologies such as VMWare, Xen, Hyper-V, or other
Strong ability to manage and lead through ambiguity
Excellent interpersonal skills, including those related to conflict resolution
Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships across organizational boundaries and levels, particularly senior management
2+ years of Kubernetes experience
3+ years of experience with DevSecOps and deployment automation to cloud environments
Familiarity with of various cloud security and related risk frameworks (COBIT, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), FedRAMP, etc.)
Design consultation experience at the highest technical level: planning, integration, implementation, scalability, and problem definition
Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies
Ability to manage initiatives related to the following: security architecture/technology roadmap that aligns with business strategy and the broader security architecture; technology planning and rationalization; related emerging technology assessment and incubation
Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
Agile experience
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Cloud security certification such as Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Cloud Computing Architect (CCA)
Professional Cloud Certification(s) from Cloud Security Alliance, AWS, Google, Microsoft, or equivalent industry-standard / professional organizations
