West Fraser Hiring for Accounting Clerk – Mill Job at Leola, AR Full Time

The Accounting Clerk will work closely with location management plus the corporate accounting group. The position reports to the Mill Manager. This role is responsible for all AP types of activities revolving around NOPO processing, vendor creation, and updating, as well as inventory tracking procedures throughout the month (daily inventory spreadsheets entry). Additionally, they will maintain and calculate daily woodyard inventories and reconciles those inventories in LIMS. In the event of a discrepancy on a settlement or inventory level, they will investigate said discrepancies and initiates corrections and rollbacks to true up the accounts. They do this for this location and maintain constant contact with the LIMS Controller in Germantown to ensure an accurate flow of information. The position is also responsible for the processing of payroll.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Enter accounts payable into Oracle Financials
• Ensure invoices and cheque requests are properly supported and approved
• Review account coding and correct any miscoding
• Ensure the accuracy of sales tax (GST and PST) and identify and calculate self-assessments where required
• Match invoices to approval batches
• Reception Coverage
• Filing and photocopying as required

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Post-secondary training in administration or accounting
• 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role
• Experience in Oracle accounts payable is an asset
