Responsible for design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of new and legacy systems. Assists customers in identifying systems solutions to meet functional needs, streamline, and ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, computer science, business, informatics or related fieldORfour (4) years’ experience performing system analysis with business, clinical or administrative applications required.
2. This position may require additional certification in support of the responsibilities of the position, which will be provided by WVUHS Information Technology. Certification completion will be required within four months of formal certification training completion.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Four (4) years’ experience performing system analysis with business, clinical or administrative applications required.
2. Internal employees must meet all mandatory competencies in current position in order to qualify for promotion within IT.

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
1. Business Applications
a.Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) workflows such as: finance, supply chain, HR/payroll preferred.
b.Experience with business operations workflow in a healthcare environment preferred, such as admitting/registration, appointment scheduling, billing, insurance verification, accounts receivable, collections, physician credentialing, and/or HIM (Medical Records) preferred.
c.Experience with financial statement preparation/analysis, financial systems administration and accounting workflows.
2. Clinical Applications
a.Experience in an inpatient or outpatient clinical setting preferred.
b.Experience with patient flow, physician/clinician workflow, medical terminology, and the medical record, preferably in the clinical area to be supported by this position, preferred.
3. Web Applications
a.Web Service experience preferred.
b.Experience with IE, XML & HTML preferred.
c.Experience with Crystal Reports preferred.
4. Integration/EDI
a.Knowledge of HL7 Message Structures, HL7 Events, and other healthcare interfacing standards strongly preferred.
b.Experience leading or managing projects required.
