The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Separator Junior Operator in our Powder Plant in Hokitika to learn and develop a range of plant and equipment operating skills and to provide support and assistance to Plant Operators and other department staff in the manufacture of milk powder products. We’ll teach you a number of processes including plant operations, bar-coding, product sampling, quality control points, and hygiene standards to ensure you will be well-equipped to perform in the role.

• The desire and ability to operate highly automated plant and systems (i.e. Packing, Driers, Evaporators etc)
• The ability to learn new plant & processes quickly
• Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills and a focus on quality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good computer skills
• Excellent people skills and the ability to be able to work within a team and be a proactive/ constructive team member
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to use your initiative
