Westland Milk Products Looking for Digital Content Manager at Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand Full Time

We’re looking for an energetic and creative Digital Content Manager to join our marketing team and play a vital role in shaping our content strategy and driving our brand execution through social media and other digital channels. Reporting to the Digital Brand Manager, the role will be based in our Christchurch office (Hornby) but will also require you to have the enthusiasm and motivation to regularly get out and about where consumers are, as well as on the West Coast (and Canterbury) to where our home, farmers and herds are; always creating content.

This is a critical role at Westland Milk Products, with responsibility for ensuring that our brands (Westgold, Westpro and Westland Milk Products) have an effective digital strategy, incorporating campaigns, brand building, social media content curation and community management. Working across a range of platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Tik Tok etc) this role will own and advance our digital content strategy in addition to managing our websites to ensure that they remain fresh and relevant to customers, consumers, and community across both local and global markets.

With a creative flair, digital know-how and a finger on the pulse of the latest social media trends and developments, our ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling and digital content creation in order to enhance brand presence, drive audience engagement, and meet brand and organisational goals.

Applicants Will Ideally Possess

• At least 3 years’ proven experience working in a Social Media Content Creator or a related capacity, preferably with relevant industry experience
• Previous experience in FMCG marketing (strongly preferred) ideally with previous exposure to international marketing
• Previous experience with social media management tools i.e. Meta Business Manager, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics
• Experience creating short form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok, including developing ideas, filming and editing videos
• Experience in or an understanding of SEO& SEM, DV360 and Google Tag Manager
• A passion for food and an interest in food and social trends internationally
• An adaptable, proactive and collaborative approach along with the ability to develop& maintain effective working relationships
• The ability to think creatively along with an eagerness to create compelling content.
• An appetite for new technology and communicating with consumers/customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with exceptional planning and organisational ability
• Well-developed strategic and commercial acumen supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills
