Westland Milk Products Looking for Junior Operators – Powder Plant at Hokitika, West Coast, New Zealand Full Time

The Opportunity

We’re looking for Junior Operators in our Powder Plant to learn and develop a range of plant and equipment operating skills and to provide support and assistance to Plant& Senior Operators and other department staff in the manufacture of milk powder products. We’ll teach you a number of processes including plant operations, bar-coding, product sampling, managing quality control points, and hygiene standards to ensure you will be well-equipped to perform in the role. This is a great entry point into the dairy industry with a wide range of future career development options available.

• The desire and ability to operate highly automated plant and systems (i.e. Packing, Driers, Evaporators etc)
• The ability to learn new plant& processes quickly
• Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills and a focus on quality

• Excellent people skills and the ability to be able to work within a team and be a proactive/ constructive team member
