Westland Milk Products Looking for Quality Operations Officer at Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand Full Time

Westland Milk Products is a well-known New Zealand end to end dairy manufacturer based in the beautiful South Island. We process over 700 million litres of milk a year and produce a wide range of consumer and foodservice products, and dairy ingredients. The Role

Located at our UHT/RO processing plant in Rolleston and reporting directly to the Quality Team Leader, we are looking for a Quality Operations Officer to join our committed and passionate Quality & Compliance Department. This role will assist in driving continuous improvement in our quality performance at a systems and operational level with a focus on the:

• Engagement and development of operational staff
• Development and implementation of quality procedures and processes
• Continuous improvement of quality systems
• Effective analysis, interpretation and improvement of quality performance trends and KPI’s
• Effective implementation and maintenance of quality systems

Our Preferred Candidate Will Ideally Possess The Following

• Experience with working within a highly regulated industry
• Knowledge and experience of quality systems, HACCP and auditing
• Experience of working in a dairy or food manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Sound computer and MS Office skills and the ability to write reports
• An interest in pursuing and developing a career in Quality Assurance
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• The ability to build and grow strong relationships, both internally and externally
• The ability to ensure their own work is completed to a high standard and to agreed deadlines
