ow will I help?

he Engineer role is a part of our Group Tech team and will provide technical expertise and dedicated technical focus required to deliver on Westpac’s next generation technology capabilities including data analytics, platform development, specialised application development, systems, and processes.
T

his role will operate predominantly in an Agile environment and will be required to support the technology capabilities to effectively deliver value to customers. This role holder will especially be looking at cloud-based solutions and looking to improve existing solutions.

ore Responsibilities in the role will include
A

• ssessing the cloud-based solutions delivered by the Development teams for operationally supportability and readiness.

• articipate and use the latest Cloud-based Services/Technologies to POC usage within the bank.
  P
• rovide Support Services to the development teams.
  U
• sing the latest cloud CI/CD and DevOps practices and ensure maximum leverage of existing platform services following endorsed Group Technology policies.

• rovide subject matter expertise on application strategy to identify opportunities for maximising the investment and managing the application lifecycle in sustainable operable solutions

• trong experience with software development and applications design

• roven experience in development and application support, with strong exposure to cloud

• ell versed with DevOps. Knowhow of Azure DevOps preferred

• xperience providing quality review of code and leading quality control initiatives
  A
• bility to problem solve, question, and work effectively with external and internal stakeholders
  E
• xcellent verbal and written communication skills using an open, clear, and engaging manner
