WestPac Labs, Inc Hiring for Imaging Specialist (Full Time) – Bakersfield Job at Bakersfield, CA Full Time

• Collecting, prepping and scanning lab requisitions into Laserfische
• Perform “pick-ups” at least once an hour from designated areas throughout the laboratory
• Research any issues with requisitions (i.e. misplaced attachments, patient information, etc.)
• Scan items sent by Compliance department
• Scan medical release forms
• Scan future orders, faxed orders, phone orders, and add-on test for various departments
• Research any “missing information” for the billing office as requested
• Ensure all boxes of scanned tickets get put into the shred bins each week
• Prints and scans incoming Right Fax Results
• Monitors fax machine for incoming Manual and Cocci results. Results are scanned and delivered to CLS techs
• Calls Bilirubin results to providers after normal testing hours
• Routine maintenance/and or troubleshooting the scanners as needed
• Works well independently, demonstrates team work
• Participates in and supports all Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement endeavors for the laboratory, as applicable

• Employee must remain professional with clients, patients, co-workers and supervisors at all times.
• Employee must successfully pass competency assessments
• Employee must have knowledge of HIPPA and follow all company policies
• In addition to an employee’s typical work schedule, this position requires employees to work weekends, split shifts, Overtime and holidays if needed by the Company. Other duties may apply as necessary.

• Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.)
• Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Frequent, prolonged standing/sitting/walking
• Must be able to see, hear, and respond adequately
• Extensive computer work
