About The Opportunity

WesTrac is seeking a Graduate People & Culture Officer to join our team based from our Tomago Head Office. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to kickstart their career in Human Resources with a large organisation.

Reporting to the People & Culture Business Partner, you will provide support to our advisory team. The People and Culture Officer will gain broad generalist human resources exposure and be accountable for a range of reporting and transactional functions within the P&C team. As part of a high performing and experienced people and culture team, the successful applicant will have significant opportunity for growth and development.

Responsibilities Include

• Interpreting policies, procedures and industrial instruments to respond to employee queries
• Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborating with other departments
• Navigating HR information systems (SuccessFactors) to compile reports
• Supporting the delivery of P&C initiatives such as diversity and inclusion programs
• Actioning requests through internal helpdesk system
• Drafting and issuing contract amendments
• Proactively providing information and reports to managers to support in people management activities
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within the P&C Function

About You

You will be a recent graduate with Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources who is seeking a role where you will have the opportunity build on your foundational knowledge.
