Career Opportunity:
The WestRock Mississauga facility is looking for an HR Admin. The position will report to the Area HR Manager. The HR Admin will assist in the administration of the plant as well as the working in the HR department including recordkeeping, recruiting and day to day HR activities.
This is an on-site position.
Major Job Responsibilities:
Assists with the screening of employment applications, arranges interviews, and administers pre-employment tests as required.
Work closely with payroll to submit payroll forms, ensure interfaces are streamlined and liaise with payroll team to resolve any discrepancy
Prepares paperwork needed to create new employee files and to place new employee on payroll.
Assists with administering and monitoring new hire orientation programs.
Provides general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms, and reports, arranging meetings, composing regular correspondence, processing confidential reports and documents, filing electronic and hard copy and tracking deadlines.
Establishes, maintains, and controls personnel records, files, correspondence, reports, and organization charts.
Interacts with and supplies information to employees, department heads, and job applicants as appropriate.
Assists with new hire benefit enrollment.
Assists with processing orders for temporary workers and managing their training records.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Assist with plant hourly payroll administration as well as other administrative tasks
What you need to work at WestRock:
Possess Human Resource Management Certificate Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year experience as HR Assistant/ office preferred.
Knowledge of Ontario ESA and applicable provincial and federal legislations
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and verbal.
Strong interpersonal skills. Professionalism and tact dealing with all levels of staff and partners.
Detailed-oriented and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
Excellent time management skills, and strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office with an emphasis on Outlook and Excel
Previous experience working with HRIS system would be an asset
